Though he was always short for his age, as Neville's confidence grew, his height did as well and he now stands at 5'9". His hair and eyes are both dark brown, and depending on whether or not he remembers to get it cut, his hair can be quite floppy. His physique is modest, and he is more or less average built – though it is unlikely he would be called slim. He is often smiling.

WIZARD: In addition to Harry Potter 'verse wizarding magic, Neville is incredibly skilled at Herbology.
history
Born as foretold by a prophecy that predicted the fall of the Dark Lord, Neville has been through his fair share of pain and suffering. Shortly after his birth his parents were kidnapped and tortured into insanity while Death Eaters searched for the location of their fallen leader. Neville was raised by his Grandmother, a very proper woman who did not appreciate the way Neville's personality caused him to stumble his way through life. She was forever encouraging him to stick up for himself when bullied, and do better in his classes. She was demanding, but fair.

When he began attending Hogwarts, Neville was sorted into Gryffindor house to the great surprise of both himself and his family – he never believed himself to be very brave – though this eventually led to his association and friendship with the famous Harry Potter, and his friends. Neville greatly looked up to Harry, and admired his strength, and strove to be as brave and fearless a leader as he believed Harry to be. Over the course of his years in school, Neville overcame many of his insecurities and became an asset in many of the fights that Hogwarts endured, including the Battle of Hogwarts.

Shortly after the completion of the Second War, Neville worked as an Auror, but his calling has always led him to Herbology. When offered a position as Herbology Professor at his old school, he could not resist accepting it.

Though far more confident than he ever was during his school days, Neville still suffers from lingering insecurities that often cause him to be shy and uncomfortable in social situations. But when the situation is grave, he can be quick to act and has learned to rely on his instincts. He believes that everyone needs to be treated with equal respect and fairness, regardless of who they are, and loyalty and honesty go hand in hand with respect. He has no use for people who do not show him respect, having spent too much time in his youth being bullied by people who didn't deserve his attention. He will write off those who do not treat him well, which can vary from indulging in little more than a 'hello how are you' to ignoring them completely. He is, however, quick to forgive – which could be considered a weakness of his as it can lead to much disappointment.

Neville worked briefly as an Auror after the Second War, but decided that it wasn't for him, and took a post as the Herbology Professor at Hogwarts. His boggart is the Carrow siblings, and has previously been Severus Snape. His patronus is a Possum, and his wand is 8 and a half inches, cherry wood with a unicorn hair core.

GAME: [info - insanejournal.com] Around Again
She hadn't wanted to to it to begin with, and she hadn't been surprised when it had failed. She'd warned Harry that it might - it was really advanced magic. Stuff they shouldn't even be messing with. But he'd been insistent, and she'd finally caved with the impression that it wouldn't work. Harry had been devastated of course, but then they were going their own ways for summer. Neither of them tied the miraculous recovery of Frank and Alice Longbottom to the spell. Why would they? It was a spell meant to return a certain dead man to the land of the living, not restore sanity to those tortured out of it. But when a woman showed up to an orphanage looking for her son Tom - a son who was now several decades older than her and masquerading under another name - there were a few questions. She was the first to return ...

... but she wasn't the last.
